Chocolate SunButter Torte

There hasn’t been much action on the blog in many weeks.  The back to work and back to school season really took over, and now the Holidays are already upon us!   There’s no better time to share a new vegan dessert recipe than this festive time of year… whether you’re planning your Christmas of New Years menus, or whipping up some plant-based treats for your child’s school Holiday Potluck (as I am) – this Chocolate SunButter Torte recipe is a keeper.

I originally planned to make this a classic Peanut Butter Torte, but decided to give SunButter a try, as it’s made from sunflower seeds and therefore school-safe.   As soon as I’m done writing this post, I’ll be sharing this decadent treat with the kids and parents at my son’s school Christmas Show… fingers crossed they (and you!) love it as much as I do!

Baked Vegan Mac & Cheeze Balls

Deck the halls with balls of macaroni and cheeze!  To conclude our 5 Days of Holiday Balls we bring you these delicious vegan balls that bring comfort food to the next level, with a rich and cheezy center and crunchy crisp shell… you would never guess that they were entirely plant-based.  These would make a great addition to any holiday spread!

Vegan Chickpea Matzo Balls (GF)

There’s nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of matzo ball soup on a cold winter’s night.  Made with chickpea flour and flax, our balls are gluten free and vegan friendly.  They cook up nicely with a nutty flavour and pleasant texture.  We serve them in a simple veggie broth with carrots and fresh dill.  Sometimes most comforting dishes are the simplest to make.  I hope you enjoy these balls as much as we have.
