Easy Vegan Cashew “Mylk”

A fellow blogger recently reached out to us regarding the challenges she’s faced with giving up dairy.  It can be tough, but not impossible, and definitely worth it: for your health, the environment and animal welfare.

If you’re looking for a delicious, healthy, and kind milk alternative that isn’t filled with preservatives or other questionable ingredients, try making your own!   Tasty in lattes, smoothies, on cereal, or even straight up, this easy cashew-based “mylk” is truly delightful and nutritious.

Prep Time: 5 mins

Ingredients:

1 cup raw cashews
4 cups water
1 Tbsp maple syrup (optional for added sweetness)
pinch of sea salt

Steps:

  •  Combine all ingredients in your high powered blender, such as the Blendtech.
  • Blend on high speed until chases are completely pulverized.
  • No need to strain the “mylk” through cheese cloth.
  • Enjoy immediately or keeps well in the fridge for up to a week in an air tight container.

We love to use this “mylk” as the base for our Maple Cinnamon Chia Pudding
